The world today has set a standard for women that on many levels contradicts the holy living word of God, and presents us with expectations for an “ideal life” that is in most cases unattainable. The biblical truth of the matter is this: The LORD our God personally created us in His image and for His glory. He loves us with an everlasting love and He desires that we experience the most intimate relationship with Him. God’s plan for our lives as women leads to fulfillment and joy in every circumstance, and an obedient heart keeps us in a position to receive the continual outpouring of His blessings. We trust that as we draw near to God He will draw near to us and that we are empowered by His Holy Spirit to understand, embrace, and be liberated by the truths which have been made known to us in His word. Biblical Womanhood Discipleship focuses on prioritizing our spiritual intimacy with the Father, gaining a deeper understanding of God’s word and His purpose for our lives as women, and exhorting one another to daily walk in the wisdom from above. We will also complete various projects to get our home in spiritual and physical order to make it a place that is calm and welcoming to Father God, our family, and guests. The true significance of Psalm 37:4 becomes abundantly apparent as we purpose to align our hearts with the LORD’s, and His desires become our own…“Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.” It is fundamentally critical that we recognize we are given the choice to remain in captivity to the world, or to delight in and be liberated by the LORD our God. What will you choose?
“For this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off… But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it. I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.” (Deuteronomy 30:11, 14, 19-20)
